Rhapsody is not syncing my ipod touch! i dnt have itunes...?

i got an ipod touch for my birthday and now its not syncing to rhapsody even though everyone said it should. i read somewhere that you need to have itunes first but i dnt have itunes at all and im not about to download just so i can unsync it to resync is again. that doesnt make since. so wat do i do??????
