When i hit my head or turn it fast i get a shooting pain in the top left of my head?

i was recently ill with a virus, when I was ill I had migraines all day every day. These migraines have ceased now that I have recovered for about two weeks now. However occasionally when I turn my head sharply or hit my head with pressure but not extremely hard, besides the dull ache which would be normal when doing this, I get an extremely sharp shooting pain in the top left side of my head that I didn't get before. I wish to know what this could be? I will see a doctor but would like some advice before hand?
