Is it normal for a 6 month old to do this?

My baby makes these like asthma gasping sounds when she gets excited. Baby will make a almost wheeze kind of gasping sound then be fine. I noticed that I sharply inhale when I talk to her sometimes. I don't know if it is related or not, like maybe she learned it from me? I see the ped doc in a week so I will mention it, but I wondered if anybody else's 6 month old does this or not...
