PS3 won't power up, how to fix?

The power cord of my PS3 was accidentally pulled out while it was syncing trophies after starting up a game. Now it won't power up at all. Even with the cord plugged in the red light won't even come on at the front of the system. Is there anything I can do to fix it? (also, I doubt it matters but it is one of the old PS3 fats)
