Iphone cannot be used as it requires MAC X 10.5.8 or later?

I don't know much about mac computers, but it sounds like the operating system on this mac is not capable of supporting the iPhone. You may have to purchase an up-to-date operating system or computer. There may be a way around it, but I don't know.
