How do i sync movies onto my iPod Touch?

I recently got an iPod Touch and I am trying to put movies onto it. They are mp4 files and the codec is h.264. They worked fine on the actual iTunes but they won't sync onto my iPod. So I tried converting them to iPod version and they synced onto the iPod and i could hear what was going on but the only thing i could see was a white screen. I don't know if the problem is that what I am trying to put onto the iPod is anime.. but that shouldn't have anything to do with it right? Can someone help? Please?
