Help fix my wi-fi on my ipod touch?

Well it's you network not your iPod since on your laptop it says error it must be either your modem or router. Try restarting your modem by pulling the plug, then restart computer. Usually your iPod can connect to any wifi network it's not that it can't get a signal it's that your network isnt connected to the internet. Making it a local area connection, if your on pc got to network and sharing setting click on your network and click diagnose and then windows will look and see if it has anything to do with your actual computer. Also your modem might be fried. You can get a replacement free usually from cablevision. This same scenario just happened to my friend
